Mutoh’s new and latest products comply with the WEEE-Directive and all its amendments. The WEEE Directive aims at preventing the generation of electrical and electronic waste and to promote re-use, recycling and other forms of recovery in order to reduce the quantity of waste discarded. It requires the collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment and the recovery and re-use or recycling of waste collected. When the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol is attached to a product, it means the product is covered by the WEEE regulation.

Mutoh’s new and latest products sold in the European Union meet the requirements of the EU’s Directive and all of its amendments on restrictions of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS).
This directive restricts the presence of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (including deca-BDE) in homogenous materials.

The regulation for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) requires that substrates manufactured in or imported into the EU above one metric ton/year have to be pre-registered before 1 December 2008 to benefit from staged registration and allow continued supply on the EU market until they are fully registered.
The aim of REACH is to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances. Within the scope of the REACH-legislation, Mutoh can confirm that all necessary substances of our chemicals are preregistered by our suppliers or their only representatives.
